About De Voorhoede
De Voorhoede is not a we-do-everything agency, but a real web development club. With a team of 15 people we build exciting projects for PostNL, TU Deft & TNO, Deltares and the Kindertelefoon, for example. Our goal is sustainable growth: we focus on more challenging projects for meaningful clients, so we can grow in diversity and expertise of the team. What are you going to do with us?
You are the face of De Voorhoede to our new customers. When someone approaches us with a question, you call them back and determine the next steps. You take the lead in writing proposals and participate in pitches. Is a proposal approved? Then you draw up the contract and make sure everyone signs it. During a project, you stay in contact with the client to address any concerns early on.
You will immerse yourself in the world of our clients to use that knowledge to build a lasting relationship. We expect you to feel comfortable with the larger midsize and corporate clients. You are regularly on location and therefore have a good insight into the opportunities and problems of our clients. Together with your colleagues you will think up smart solutions to bring in new work for existing clients. In addition, you maintain relationships with our partner agencies. Together you identify opportunities and start selling potential projects.
If the client is not satisfied or we are not happy with the collaboration, and the team can't work it out themselves, you come around the corner. You help the team solve the problem or discuss it with the customer. From the agreements made, with input from the team and the customer, you try to come up with a pragmatic solution.
You will be given a lot of responsibility and we expect you to work independently. Our experienced technical specialists - Tech Leads or CTO Jasper Moelker - will work with you on project ideas. So you don't do it alone, but you lead the way. To make sure we live up to what we've sold, you'll work closely with our Project Manager Suzanne Steijn. Ultimately, our yet-to-be-hired Commercial Director will be your superior. This person will be responsible for the commercial strategy and the expansion of our network. Until then, you will work with our Head of Sales & Operations: Nena de Clercq.
What do we expect from you as Sales & Key Account Manager?
You see opportunities and know how to expand current collaborations. Contact with clients comes easily to you, even when it comes to a tough conversation or presenting a proposal. You have a commercial attitude, but also have an eye for content, the customer relationship and know what makes the team happy in terms of work. At the start of a project you know how to enthuse the team.
You are accurate with figures and know how to put agreements clearly on paper. You also know how to chase our clients in a pleasant way, as long as you don't get a response or signature. You are good at managing your own agenda and task list and feel comfortable with the variety of activities throughout the day.
With your input we improve the commercial strategy and you get to work on implementing it. Like us, you are not keen on hierarchy and therefore feel free to pitch your ideas for improvement to the MT.
You also bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, including 1 year at a digital agency.
- Bachelor's or WO working and thinking level
- Experience with digital products and delivering customization
- You are curious by nature and have a keen interest in understanding the business model of our clients
- You speak and write fluently Dutch and English
- You are available for 32-40 hours per week
